Digipak/Advertisement Photography - Money...

Money is a big theme within my music video, and apart from that it is very interesting and
eye-catching to look at when its shot in large amounts.
I took these photos because they are relevant to my video's narrative, and I also simply think the simplicity of the images would be bold and modern if incorporated into my Digipak.

Digipak/Advertisement Photography - Street Lights...

"seems like street lights glowing, happened to be just like moments, passing, in front of me"

I took these photos for similar reasons to why I took all the photos of the urban locations, yet on a deeper level, these lamposts and street lights could connote hope in hard times etc.

Digipak/Advertisement Photography - Urban Locations...

All of these photos are ones I took within a council estate, I wanted to take interesting pictures which I could visualise within my Digipak's panels.
I took pictures of the streets and aspects of the streets for obvious reasons.
There are no intended hidden connotations, my video is about the streets so I thought I could just illustrate this with some artistic shots of an urban location etc.
Although on the other hand this is quite redundant, so maybe I should only feature the street locations in small concentrated sections of my print work.

Digipak/Advertisement Photography - An Ageing Youth...

I took all of the photos below of my little brother.
I put his hood over his head to fit in with the themes of my music video, I also gave him weapons to hold while I photographed him.
It might seem over the top that a 3 year old is waving a knife, pointing a gun and swinging a chain, but this is just my own entropic way of portraying that children in rough areas are committing crimes at very young ages (maybe not 3!) but still, the crime rate is increasing and the age of criminals is decreasing.
Like all of the photographs in my next few blog posts, they were all intentionally taken with the possibility to be included within my Digipak and advertisement.

Searching for a filming location...

Using google maps, we searched Worcester for all of the locations displayed.
We wanted to find rough, urban locations, we wanted lots of alley ways and worn down areas.
We now have a range of areas we believe we can use, because they portray the aspects of an urban area we want to include.
We haven't narrowed it down to one location, because in reality it depends on what day and time we film, and if the area is busy etc.
So at the moment we have a few ideas in mind which we can change if needed.
An example of one of the areas we could film is the Ronkswood area surrounding our college, there is alot of alleyways and walls etc.
Luckily our music video could be filmed in many locations, so we are not limited to one area.
I think it might be a good idea if we film in several places throughout Worcester, aslong as obviously it fits in with the rough, street style.

Beginning the production of my actual Digipak...

I have finally decided the sort of imagery I want my Digipak's panels to portray.

I have rented a camera and I want to photograph subjects on the following topics...
Money,
Urban locations,
Street lights,
and the way children are hitting the streets and committing crimes younger and younger.

Quick Idea...

I've just thought that within my music video, The main character (the teenage criminal) will go about his morning routine before leaving the house.
This will show how he is a normal person with a family and a fairly healthy home life.

He will get dressed, eat his breakfast and brush his teeth etc.

My idea is that in the video, we could get the main character to spit out his toothpaste onto the camera's lens, so that the audiences view is completely blocked temporarily by the bubbly white foam spewing from our protagonists mouth.
Then when the toothpaste runs off the lens and the frame is revealed, the setting will have changed to a new location.
